All right. I’m going to give you a couple lessons about what you can learn from what you just watched. You can apply to your music career for yourself, for your friend, for an artist you manage. I’m Rob Level this is Smart Rapper. Let’s talk about it really quick. First and foremost, T.I. Snitching. Absolutely crazy thought to think the antithesis, which means complete opposite of his brand at all.

00:44:18 – 00:57:13

But there’s something special about seeing this as well that I need you to take from this. You can also see in his face, bring it back up on the screen here. He knows as he’s saying it, it’s a mistake to say it publicly. You can see it on his face. He’s like, I shouldn’t probably say this, but I already started.

00:57:13 – 01:14:09

And on top of that, there’s probably this massive weight of him feeling like he snitched, even though it was on somebody who was already dead and especially being a family member. So take that into account as well. He’s holding that weight and he’s probably wanted to say it for a long time. Now, this clip is resurfacing even though it’s a year or two old.

01:14:09 – 01:28:12

Somebody pulled it and he started talking about it. It got picked up. And people you know, I’m saying but at the time when he said it, nothing happened. Reason being is because it really depends on your opinion, what your opinion is. It’s still considered snitching, but at the same time, it’s not like he snitched to police and put someone in jail.

01:28:15 – 01:42:21

Okay, he snitched, but the person wasn’t alive. Does that even count, was it not? Actually, the smarter thing to do is like he can’t catch a gun charge. He’s already dead. This is my cousin. He would want me to be free and be able to help the rest of the family. Thank you. There’s a lot of ways to justify it, no matter what.

01:42:21 – 01:54:04

So you take it however you want to. But I want you to take this into account and what we can learn from this as a music artist. Number one, you can have things deep down that is really weighing on your shoulders. Okay? And you got to remember, you can put that in a song in some way, shape or form.

01:54:04 – 02:10:11

But when you put something like this out there that is not really on brand for you, it can be damaging and thing is really to take from this is this is old yet it’s being re brought up randomly by some random freaking YouTube. Another lesson is that people will take your words and blow it out of proportion in order to get views, in order to get clicks.

02:10:11 – 02:26:29

Okay. Somebody is going to go dig through an archive to get YouTube views, people to pay attention. Everybody is a media platform. Do you ever do anything it could be caught, people could put it out. So a real good lesson to take from this is having a prevention, having a disaster or a reputation management plan. If this thing happens, what am I going to do?

02:27:00 – 02:40:17

Right? And you’ll know the moment like he knew on his face. He knew as he did it, he probably shouldn’t. He pauses. Then he continues forward. But at the same time, there’s another lesson. It’s also humbling that he would have missed something like that. It really depends how you take it. Pause. Anyway, I know these lessons are going to help you later.
